BARRELL OF ISLEWORTH 1681
IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN
I Gilbert Barrell of Isleworth in the county of Middx Gent, being sick
and weake in body but
of sound and perfect minde and memory blessed be God doe make and ordain
this my last will
and testament in manner following; First and chiefly I commit and commend
my soule into the hands of Almighty God my most gracious maker hoping that
the truth and passion of Jesus Christ my redeemer to inherit eternal life.
And my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried as shall seem good
to my executor hereinafter named. And as for my worldly estate wherewith
it hath pleased God to blesse me, I give and bequeath all my goods, monies
and personal estate which I now have and enjoy unto my loving father Savage
Barrell of Isleworth aforesaid unto who I do make and ordain the full and
whole executor of this my last will and testament. Revoking and making
void hereby all other and former will and wills by me heretofore made.
In witnesse whereby I the said Gilbert Barrell make this my last will and
testament have set my hand and seal this fifth day of april in the ffirst
and twentyeth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King Charles second
over England of Anno domini sixteenhundred and eightyone. signed, sealed,
published and delivered by the above said Gilbert Barrell. To be his last
will and testament in the presence of Thomas Walcott senior Thomas Walcot
Junior-----?-Westwood
